Dustin sat there waiting in silence, listening in to see if he could hear her being crazy upstairs.
As she was changing into shorts, she was singing to one direction. She came running down the stairs still singing to one direction not noticing her boyfriend was listening to her.
“What?” he asked playfully. “Was I supposed to cover my ears?” He grinned.
Pulling out a chair in the kitchen, he called out to her, “Alright, I’ll be right here waiting! Don’t take forever!”
She giggled as she went up the stairs, then called out from the stairs “For that i’m going to take forever!”
Dustin sat there waiting in silence, listening in to see if he could hear her being crazy upstairs.
“You caught me! Nah, just kiddin’, but let’s go jump around!”
“Haha, Okay, Let me just go change into shorts it’s hot out there.” She said as she ran upstairs to change out of her jeans into shorts.
Pulling out a chair in the kitchen, he called out to her, “Alright, I’ll be right here waiting! Don’t take forever!”
“Oh so you’re saying that i’m bored huh?” She laughed. “Wanna go to my backyard? I have a trampoline, a swing, and a swimming pool!”
“You caught me! Nah, just kiddin’, but let’s go jump around!”
She laid her head on his shoulders, “What movie do you want to watch?” She asked him as she looked up to him with a warm smile. She loved spending time with him.
“I dunno, what do you have?” he asked. “We don’t have to watch a movie, but we need something to do otherwise I’ll probably fall asleep,” he said jokingly.
“Hey, It’s boring being the only child!” She replied, “Wanna spend the night?” She asked her boyfriend in a sweet little voice.
“Yeah, sure. I’ll stay. I don’t have to be anywhere tomorrow or anything.” He wrapped his around around her and kissed her on the forehead. “So let’s watch a movie or something?”
“It’s their anniversary week, and they want to get away from their daughter, i’m just like wow, Mom, Thanks.” She replied with a laugh.
“Aw, well hey, at least you get the house to yourself!” he said, wearing a huge grin on his face. “I’d kill for a chance to be alone for a week!”
“Yeah, I can’t wait…” he trailed off for a moment, lost in thought. “So, anyway, what do you wanna do tonight?”
She looked at him while he was trailing off. “Eh… Anything is fine, my parents aren’t coming back until Saturday. So party party.” She said joking but giving Dustin a wink.
“Oh yes, let’s get out party on,” he said, returning the joke. “Why are they gone for so long anyway?”
“Aw, you know I missed you a whole lot too,” he started off sweetly. “And, yeah I know!” He smiled back at her. “I can’t wait to be able to just stay up all night around campfires and all that fun summer stuff.”
She looked over at him. “Yes, All the beach fun, swimming, eating icecream, hanging out, staying up all night, traveling and most of all, spending time with a special someone.” She finished with a sweet smile.
“Yeah, I can’t wait…” he trailed off for a moment, lost in thought. “So, anyway, what do you wanna do tonight?”
“Aha, you know. Can’t wait for the school year to be over, I’m so exhausted and I just don’t even care at this point.” Dustin stepped past Elizabeth and made his way into the living room, stopping to admire the many different furnishings around the room. “How’ve you been?”
“I’ve been good, but missed my favorite guy ever!” she finished her thought, as she followed him to the living room. “I know, I’m already tired of school, I can’t wait for summer, it’s going to be a blast!” She said with a huge smile on her face.
“Aw, you know I missed you a whole lot too,” he started off sweetly. “And, yeah I know!” He smiled back at her. “I can’t wait to be able to just stay up all night around campfires and all that fun summer stuff.”
